The guidelines identify four general elements critical to the development of a successful safety and health management system:

• Management leadership and employee involvement.
• Worksite analysis.
• Hazard prevention and control.
• Safety and health training.

We provide our employee training that includes the following safety areas:

• Air monitoring and ventilation
• Illumination
• Communications
• Flood control
• Personal protective equipment
• Emergency procedures, including evacuation plans
• Check-in/check-out procedures
• Explosives
• Fire prevention and protection
• Mechanical equipment

We follow and adhere to the following site control procedures: 

• Check-in/check-out procedures to account and monitor employees
• Control of access and egress to protect employees from any hazards
• Ground support of portal and subsidence areas for safe entry and exit
• Ground support of underground areas to ensure ground stability 
• Ground support of Shafts by steel casing, concrete pipe, timber, solid rock, or other suitable material
• Fire prevention and control.

Ventilation requirements to supply all underground work areas with fresh air in sufficient amounts to prevent any dangerous or harmful accumulation of dusts, fumes, mists, vapors, or gases. 

Illumination requirements to ensure that proper illumination be provided during tunneling operations

Special air monitoring requirement and testing of oxygen, methane, hydrogen sulfide and dangerous or flammable gases

Special conditions for drilling and blasting underground by inspection of all drilling and associated equipment as well as the drilling area and correct and hazards.
